The Hermitage is a 950 square foot two bedroom year round cabin. Entering from the covered front porch there is one open room serving as the kitchen, living and dining space. Beamed ceiling, wood floors and stone fireplace gives the cabin warmth and character. Glass sliding door leads to a spacious screened porch with table, benches and hot tub. Off the porch a large private deck. The kitchen is fully equipped. Upstairs there are two bedrooms with queen size beds and one full size bath. The Hermitage is air-conditioned and there is a TV and DVD player. Firewood for the fireplace is supplied for the daily rate. There is a large yard with a picnic table, lounge chairs, charcoal grill and fire pit. The Mast Hope Brook is our private trout stream and only a few hundred feet away. Step out to miles of nature trails for hiking or snow-shoeing. The Delaware River and our private access is a 15 minute walk. The river can be a delight for swimming and fishing. We have a couple of canoes for your use in the river's eddy.

Jane, John and family- you have created an oasis of calm- healing body and mind and spirit here at Sylvania Tree Farm. This is our first visit here- after hearing about it for years from our friends Carla Rae and Cynthia – everything they told us accurate and then some. The magic of looking up at the towering pines has to be experienced. Hard to put in to words the sensation of pleasure from the jets caressing sore muscles in the hot tub .Ahhhhh.! The crackle of wood burning in the fireplace stove permeates the cabin with warmth.
Thank you for orchestrating an outstanding respite from our busy life where we were able to decompress and leave recharged."

Three night weekend can be scheduled as a Thursday to Sunday or Friday to Monday; excludes all holidays and summer weekends. Holiday and summer/fall rate is $750.00 plus tax.
$250 Per Night Weekday Rate*
2-Night Minimum, special mid week rate (Sunday - Thursday) of $200 per night when you stay more than 2 nights.

The hot tub is filled and heated for each customer. A certain amount of scheduling is necessary to fill and heat and have ready for arrival. During the reservation the scheduling will be discussed. The hot tub preparation and use most often goes smoothly but it has components that can be subject to issues so we can not be responsible for the unexpected mechanical failure. If one chooses not to take the hot tub the rate is 100.00 less.
