 is
a 675 square foot all season cottage. The pine siding,
flooring and interior trim were milled from trees cleared
from the site. The sleeping loft overlooks a large fireplace
built with bluestone selected from our quarry.
Upon entering there is a cathedral ceiling with a stone
fireplace on the right. The loft has a queen size bed.
There is a fully equipped kitchen and bathroom. The
sliding glass door opens to a small, screened porch
with antique rockers.
The Turtleshell is ideal for a couple but there is space
to accommodate a small child.
The Turtleshell is air-conditioned, there is a TV/VCR and DVD Player
but no cable.
Firewood for the fireplace is supplied for a daily
rate.
There is a large private front yard with picnic table, lounge chairs, charcoal grill and fire-pit. The trout stream is a couple of hundred feet away from the cabin. Easy access to miles of nature trails. A short hike to our private swimming/boating area on the Delaware River.
