The Hermitage is a 950 square foot two bedroom year round cabin. Entering from the covered front porch there is one open room serving as the kitchen, living and dining space. Beamed ceiling, wood floors and stone fireplace gives the cabin warmth and character. Glass sliding door leads to a spacious screened porch with table, benches and hot tub. Off the porch a large private deck. The kitchen is fully equipped. Upstairs there are two bedrooms with queen size beds and one full size bath. The Hermitage is air-conditioned and there is a TV/VCR/ DVD player and basic cable. Firewood for the fireplace is supplied for the daily rate. There is a large yard with a picnic table, lounge chairs, charcoal grill and fire pit. The Mast Hope Brook is our private trout stream and only a few hundred yards away. Step out to miles of nature trails for hiking or snow-shoeing. The Delaware River and our private access is a 15 minute walk. The river can be a delight for swimming and fishing. We have a couple of canoes for your use in the river's eddy.

Dear Jane and John. I have been coming here since 1993 (I think). Ten years ago I started coming here with Corina, my lovely wife and then three years ago with Alex and now for the first time we are here with Evan our one year old. Evan has been through some difficult time and last week came out of major surgery. Throughout the days leading up to the surgery we have been thinking when its all done we'll celebrate at our favorite little cabin. The thought of this weekend helped us in a way get through the surgery. We always have a wonderful time here. Thanks so much for this wonderful place. - David, Corina, Alex and Evan, NYC July 13, 2008 ![]() |
